REPRESENTASI TRAUMA PENYINTAS KEKERASAN SEKSUAL DALAM FILM “27 Steps of May” (Studi Analisis Semiotika Charles Sanders Pierce)
This film emphasizes sexist prejudice by describing cases of sexual violence against women byshowing how a story is first composed and then developed into a rape script. Furthermore, it isimportant to determine whether the film uses stereotypes of women who have been rooted in societyor how the film presents actual women The qualities of representation and interpretation ofsymbols are their essential concepts. Whereas the interpretive aspect of a sign allows multipleinterpretations depending on the user and the addressee, the representative nature of the signImpltes that the sign is something else The story takes a male perspective, although episodes ofviolence are observed from a female perspective. The type of abuse highlighted also reflects theabilities of men, not a woman"s perspective. Stereotypes of feeble women. The men in this fiimcommit sexual violence which is at the root of the problem, but men also have a role to play in itssolution.The author believes that people will watch the film attentively and understand itconscientiously when it is shown on various platforms. These attitudes are needed as today"smedia often depict coercive behaviours and their effects, which can leave a traumatic picture.
