This study aims to find out the view of the student of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Sriwijaya University regarding the gamophobia phenomenon in the Series Film: Layangan Putus. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods that are able to produce research results in the form of descriptions in interview, writing, or behaviors that can be observed in a particular scope seen from a comprehensive perspective. Descriptive qualitative research illustrates the opinions of respondents in accordance with research questions, then analyzed using words that underlie respondents' behavior. The results of this study are that students from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences after interpreting the contents of the message from the Series Film: Layangan Putus which was decided to make a new perspective in marriage. this study had an impact on respondents in the Series Film: Layangan Putus, where there was fear of commitment in a relationship. From the results of this study it is hoped that the community can judge or conclude learning from the contents of the film story without having an excessive view. Keyword: Reception Analysis, Gamophobia, Series Film.
