This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of the implementation of Mutual LegalAssistance (MLA) between Indonesia and Switzerland in 2020-2022. This research is basedon the fact that there are still many cascs of transnational crime involving Switzerland as atax haven country for perpetrators who try to avoid the legal investigation process inIndonesia, for example criminal acts of fraud, money laundering and the escape of assetsresulting from criminal acts of corruption. Various efforts have been made by the Indonesiangovernment to overcome this problem and one of them is through MLA cooperation as asystem of cooperation between countries in the field of preventing and eradicating crime,especially transnational crime. In this case, it is bilateral MLA cooperation between Indonesiaand Switzerland. This research was studied using the concept of bilateral cooperation withdescriptive qualitative research. In this research, data was taken and collected from interviewswith related parties as well as information and data obtained from official documents, as wellas literature books, journals, previous research and official websites and relevantdocumentation. The results of this research show that the implementation of Mutual LegalAssistance (MLA) cooperation between Indonesia and Switzerland in 2020-2022 has gonequite well since the beginning and there have been cases that have been fulfilled or resolved,although there are still several obstacles such as the long bureaucracy in Indoncsia. The MLAcooperation between Indoncsia and Switzerland, which has only been implemented forapproximately 3 years, is expected to be able to overcome and reduce transnational crimesthat occur between the two countries.
