This thesis is entitled "Response of Street Clown Buskers to Labeling in Pasar Lama Village, Lahat Regency". The purpose of this research is to find out and understand the background of a person to become a street clown busker and the response of the street clown buskers to the labeling given by the community. The method used is a qualitative research method with data collection techniques namely observation, interviews, and documentation. This study was analyzed using the labeling theory of Howard Saul Becker. The results of this study are the discovery of factors behind a person's ability to become a street clown busker, namely there are internal factors in the form of a sense of surrender to one's own condition whatever happens, and lack or have no skills other than being a street clown busker. The second factor is external factors in the form of economic, educational, and family factors which are the background for someone to become a street clown busker. The result of the second study was the discovery of responses from street clown buskers to the labeling given to them by the community, the responses here were divided into positive responses and negative responses. The positive response of street clown buskers to labeling is to feel happy, which makes them even more enthusiastic in carrying out the street clown busking profession, receiving labels well and being acknowledged by the labels. Negative responses from street clown buskers to labeling were feeling sad which resulted in feeling less confident, making subtle rejections, being lazy, and having a feeling of not wanting to socialize anymore with society.
