Desa Prima Program (Perempuan Indonesia Maju Mandiri) is one of the policies of the Ministry of Women’s Empowerment as an effort to break the cycle of poverty through productive development. However, the implementation of this program has not been able to achieve the objectives as expected, therefore women in the Desa Prima Program group at Ogan Baru Urban Village are looking for alternatives to increase their income by diversifying their work. The purpose of the research is to understand the forms of job diversification and the factors that encourage job diversification of women who received Desa Prima Program. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a case study research strategy. Data collection was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study found that the forms of job diversification carried out by women who received assistance from Desa Prima Program at Ogan Baru Urban Village were as chicken cage craftsmen, farming, factory laborers, day laborers, and entrepreneurship. The factors that encourage job diversification are the lack of assistance from Desa Prima Program, the unstable price of songket weaving, and the low education of women in the Desa Prima Program group at Ogan Baru Urban Village. These limitations have encourage women to diversify their work as an additional source of income as well as an effort to reduce the risk of their main job as songket weavers.
