TINDAKAN ORANG TUA MEMPEKERJAKAN ANAK BERKEBUTUHAN KHUSUS (ABK) UNTUK MEMENUHI KEBUTUHAN KELUARGA DI KOTA BATURAJA KABUPATEN OGAN KOMERING ULU
This research examines "Parents' Actions in Employing Children with Special Needs (ABK) to Meet Family Needs in Baturaja City, Ogan Komering Ulu Regency". Employing children is an effort undertaken by a person or parent to utilize children for the common good or individual interest. Problem in this research discusses the background to the actions of parents in employing children with special needs in Baturja and the actions taken by parents towards their children. The aim of this research is to understand and find out how parents employ children with special needs (ABK) to meet the needs of families in Baturja. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive research method with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. This research uses Max Weber's social action theory. The research results show that economic, social, and educational factors influence parents' actions in employing children with special needs. Meanwhile, parental actions in Max Weber's theory are influenced by parents who assess children as a burden and asset for the parents' economic, emotional, and cultural heritage and as a tradition that has been carried out in the family.
