This research explores the local wisdom in the Eid al-Fitr celebration tradition among residents in four villages of the Warkuk sub-district, South Ranau District, Ogan Komering Ulu Selatan Regency. The study comprehensively investigates the background formation of the tradition, the process of its implementation, and the various forms it takes. The research methodology employed in this study is qualitative descriptive research with a case study research strategy. The theoretical framework utilized is Emile Durkheim's theory of social solidarity. Data for this research were gathered through interviews with 10 informants, observation, documentation, and literature review. The findings of the research reveal that three factors underlie this tradition: fostering social bonds, contributing to the prosperity of mosques, and expressing resistance against colonialism. The process of the Eid al-Fitr tradition involves the establishment of a committee, followed by the execution of a series of activities including ruahan (neighborhood gathering), takbir parade, congregational Eid prayer, cross-cultural traditions, neghak pahar (ritual gift-giving), and halal bi halal (post-Eid gathering). Furthermore, the study elucidates that the forms of the Eid al-Fitr tradition encompass ruahan, takbir parade, cross-cultural traditions, neghak pahar, and halal bi halal.
