TERAPI MUSIK KLASIK PADA PASIEN DENGAN BAYI BERAT LAHIR RENDAH DI RUANGAN SELINCAH LANTAI II NEONATUS RSUP DR. MOHAMMAD HOESIN PALEMBANG
Background: The incidence of low birth weight babies in Indonesia in 2020 reached 35.2% out of 72.0% of total births. Meanwhile, the incidence of low birth weight babies at Dr. Mohammad Hoesin during the January-March 2022 period was 55 out of a total of 141 babies born. One of the problems often experienced by low birth weight babies is nutritional intake. Classical music therapy is a non-pharmacological therapy that can improve sucking reflexes, provide a sense of comfort and sleep patterns for babies. Objective: Describes the implementation of nursing care practices and applying classical music therapy to low birth weight children. Method: Qualitative descriptive with a case study approach on three pediatric patients with low birth weight. Results: The nursing problems that emerged in the three patients were ineffective breastfeeding, risk of nutritional deficits, risk of aspiration, and risk of infection. Nursing intervention for ineffective breastfeeding is breastfeeding education and giving the baby the opportunity to suck, the risk of nutritional deficit is nutritional management and music therapy, the risk of aspiration is prevention of aspiration, the risk of infection is prevention of infection. Conclusion: The nursing care provided to the three managed patients starts from assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. The implications of applying music therapy to babies with low birth weight have a positive effect on the baby's physiological response, causing the body to be more relaxed.
