PENGARUH GELEMBUNG PADA ISOLASI CANOLA OIL DALAM MENAHAN STRESS TEGANGAN.
Study of the effect of bubbles on canola oil as insulation in breakdown voltage using a 220 VAC voltage source, with a frequency of 50 Hz. This experiment used two plane electrode system with a diameter of 40 mm and a distance between the two electrodes set at 2.5mm, using a plastic needle as a tool for injecting bubbles. There are three types of bubbles: single bubbles, string bubbles, and cluster bubbles. When the sample test has been injected with bubbles, the voltage is increased using a step-up transformer to reach the breakdown voltage. The rise time voltage is set to get the desired results of 60 s/kV, 300 s/kV, and 600 s/kV. The results of this measurement showed that using different bubbles in the sample test will result in a lower breakdown voltage. The condition of the sample, which is affected by bubbles using a different rise time voltage, will result the breakdown voltage lower in proportion to the slower rise time in the voltage.
