DETEKSI FORMASI PEMOHONAN LISTRIK PADA MATERIAL ISOLASI EPOXY RESIN YANG TERPAPAR AMONIA (NH3) MENGGUNAKAN TEGANGAN AC
This study reported the formation of electrical treeing that occur on the epoxy resin insulating material with a thickness of 1 mm. The electrode system resembles a leaf-like sample specimen with a gap between the tip of needle electrode and aluminum tape of 1 mm. The samples were given 1% of the pollutant in the form of ammonia (NH3) with a variation of the conditioning time 12; 24; 48; and 96 hours as well as the unconditioned sample as a control. Measurements use alternating voltage (AC) which is increased to 0.2; 0.4 and 0.6 kV after TIV occurs with a working frequency of 50 Hz. The measurement obtained TIV, tree shape, tree length as well as accumulated discharge. For the samples which were polluted with NH3, the lowest TIV obtained were 4,850 kV. For the tree shape, the samples polluted with NH3 result a bush-branch shaped tree. The results showed that tree length and accumulated discharge increased as the increasing of condition time.
