This research is entitled "Kapabilitas Organisasi Dalam Mitigasi Bencana Kebakaran (Studi Kasus Dinas Kependudukan Dan Pencatatan Sipil Kota Palembang". The purpose of this research is to find out the fire disaster mitigation carried out by the Palembang City Population and Civil Registration Office. The research method used is a qualitative research method. The theory used to analyze the theory of fire disaster mitigation from (Sulaksmono, 1997) with 5 indicators, namely fire emergency planning, fire management organizations or units, evacuation routes or places, facilities and equipment in fire and coaching and training. The results of this study indicate that fire disaster mitigation at the Disdukcapil City of Palembang is good, but there are a number of things that must be maximized again, the absence of special fire prevention officers and fire prevention training is the cause of the lack of knowledge of staff and employees of the Palembang City Disdukcapil regarding fire disaster mitigation. The advice given by the author is to provide guidance and training to staff and employees of the Palembang City Disdukcapil regarding fire disaster mitigation and improving fire fighting facilities and equipment at the Palembang City Disdukcapil.
