This paper presents exergy and exergoeconomic analysis to evaluate the performance of the PT Pertamina RU III Plaju Gas Turbine Cogeneration System existing system and a modified system with regenerator. The main objective is to determine the amount and location of exergy destruction in each component, the cost of destruction and the thermal efficiency of the gas turbine cogeneration system. Operating data assumed environmental conditions at 27ºC and 90% regenerator effectiveness. The research results obtained in the existing system showed that the largest exergy destruction is in the combustion chamber, which is 25865.4 kW, while in the modified system it is in the supplementary burner, which is 21153.61 kW. The cost of exergy destruction is directly proportional to the amount of exergy destruction, in the existing system occurs in the combustion chamber is 1784.71 USD / h and in the modified system also occurs in the combustion chamber is 1311.84 kW. The current system efficiency in the gas turbine system is 23.85%, in the hrsg of 79.66% and in the cogeneration system of 57.95%, while in the modified system, there is an increase in the efficiency of the gas turbine system of 32%, but in the hrsg system there is a decrease to 67.41% due to the addition of fuel heat to the system, as well as in the cogeneration system decreasing to 54.69%. The addition of regenerators has benefits in reducing exergy destruction, exergy destruction costs and increasing efficiency if the gas turbine system operates alone.
