ANALISIS PENGARUH JARAK LENSA FRESNEL TERHADAP DAYA PADA PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA SURYA
Solar Power Generation (SPG) is a rapidly growing renewable energy source in meeting global energy demands. Fresnel lenses are components used in SPG systems to enhance solar radiation absorption by solar panels. In the use of Fresnel lenses, the placement distance can affect the power output of the solar panels. The research findings indicate a significant influence between the placement distance of Fresnel lenses and the power output of SPG. This study found that the optimal placement distance for Fresnel lenses is 10 cm from the surface of the solar panel, where the power output reaches its peak. Improper placement distances can decrease the power output due to suboptimal solar radiation concentration on the solar panels. The research was conducted by constructing a solar power generator using Fresnel lenses made of polymethyl-methacrylite with two variations of lens distances, namely 5 cm and 10 cm, as well as without using a lens, for a duration of 7 days. The study resulted in the highest power output values, with an average voltage of 20.89 V on the 5th day, a current value of 0.01134 A on the 7th day, and a power value of 26.104 W on the prototype with a lens distance of 10 cm on the 2nd day of the study. This occurred under clear weather conditions, where the focused light on the solar panels through the Fresnel lens allowed for increased voltage and current production. However, the distance of the Fresnel lens is not the sole factor affecting light focusing on the solar panel, which can result in suboptimal power output at various lens distances. Environmental conditions, such as weather, also influence the power output values during field measurements. Therefore, the different distances of the Fresnel lens have an impact on the light focusing on the transistors, which consequently affect the power output values.
