STRATEGI PENINGKATAN KINERJA APARATUR SIPIL NEGARA DI BADAN KESATUAN BANGSA DAN POLITIK PROVINSI SUMATERA SELATAN
The research in this thesis is motivated by problems related to the strategy of improving the performance of the state civil apparatus at the National Unity and Political Agency of South Sumatra Province which is still not optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine how strategies are carried out to improve the performance of state civil apparatus at the National Unity and Political Agency of South Sumatra Province. This research method uses descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used observation, documentation, and interviews with 6 (six) informants. The data analysis techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This research uses the theory of performance improvement strategies by Ilyas which consists of 5 components, namely by increasing work motivation, improving employee welfare, creating a harmonious organizational climate, effective leadership, and career development.The results of this study found several problems related to (1) lack of employee awareness of the punishment system so that it has not provided a deterrent effect, (2) communication related to tasks is less effective because there are still frequent missed communications, (3) there are still ASNs who have not participated in education and training (Diklat) due to lack of budget constraints. Suggestions that can be given in this study are to impose sanctions strictly in accordance with the established rules, take an informal approach to each room of each employee and play a more active role in paying attention to employees in the implementation of education and training (Diklat).
