This research is motivated by the numerous cases of child exploitation under the age of employment by their parents as beggars, tissue sellers, and street clowns, when these children should be pursuing education and playing with other children their age. The aim of this research is to identify the factors contributing to child exploitation and examine the forms of exploitation carried out by parents who employ their children to work. This study employs a qualitative research approach by collecting data from the parents street children working in the sorrounding area. The dimensions of this concept of exploitation include emotional violence, verbal abuse, physical abuse and mental abuse. The results of this research indicate that child exploitationin the Simpang Lima area near Provincipal DPRD office of South Sumatera takes the form of employing underage children. Including physical exploitation, social exploitation, and discrimination in terms of working hours and working results. Social exploitation involves the restriction of the child’s right to education expenses. This exploitationis caused by family economic factors, parental domestic disputes involving street children, and parental education levels. Its impacts on children include their health, education, psychological well-being, and the sorrounding environment. Keyword: Exploitation, Street Children, Beggars
