KONSTRUKSI SOSIAL PELECEHAN SEKSUAL VERBAL (CATCALLING) PADA MAHASISWA PELAKU PELECEHAN SEKSUAL VERBAL (CATCALLING) DI UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA.
This research is entitled "Social Construction of Verbal Sexual Harassment (Catcalling) in Students Performing Verbal Sexual Harassment (Catcalling) at Sriwijaya University". The research problem discusses the process of externalization, objectivation and internalizationof catcalling students at Sriwijaya University. The purpose of this research is to find out how the externalization, objectivation and internalization processes of students in carrying out catcalling at Sriwijaya University. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with a descriptive research strategy. This study uses social construction theory from Peter L Berger and Thomas Luckmann. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews with 23 informants, documentation and literature study. The results of the research show that the process of externalization is (1) adaptation to knowledge. (2) adaptation to action The two processes of objectivation or interaction processes are (1) understanding the goals and benefits of the actions taken. (2) habitualization or habituation. The three processes of internalization or process of identification (1) the process of planting and absorbing values. (2) get teaching about what to do and how to behave when catcalling (3) feel happy when practicing catcalling (4) feel that the actions taken have their own benefits and satisfaction so the student chooses to continue catcalling. It is this stage that makes catcalling students able to identify themselves as catcalling actors at Sriwijaya University. Keywords: Sriwijaya University students, Catcalling, Social Construct
