UPAYA TRANSNATIONAL ADVOCACY NETWORKS “GAYa NUSANTARA” DALAM MENGADVOKASI KELOMPOK LGBT DI INDONESIA
The rise of cases of discrimination and violence against LGBT people has given rise to various LGBT organizations that aim to serve as shelters in efforts to obtain human rights (HAM) so that they can live side by side with other societies. GAYa NUSANTARA (GN) is one of the organizations that consistently protects LGBT people in Indonesia. This study aims to see how the efforts made by GN in advocating for LGBT groups in Indonesia. The research uses the concept of Transnational Advocacy Networks with four approaches, namely; Information Politics, Symbolic Politics, Leverage Politics and Accountability Politics. The data were obtained using interview data collection techniques (interviews) for GN. The type of data in this study uses qualitative data from primary data sources. The results of this study demonstrate the ability of the GN organization to carry out advocacy efforts for LGBT groups in Indonesia by seeking support both nationally and internationally, becoming members of international organizations such as the Asia Pacific Coalition on Male Health (APCOM) and the Coalition for Sexual and Bodily Rights in Muslim Societies (CSBR).
