KERJASAMA MILITER INDONESIA DAN FILIPINA (PHILINDO MILITARY COOPERATION) DALAM MEMBERANTAS TERORISME STUDI KASUS : PENYANDERAAN WARGA NEGARA INDONESIA OLEH KELOMPOK ABU SAYYAF
Indonesia and the Philippines have security problems in their territorial waters due to hostage-taking crimes by the Abu Sayyaf Group. Therefore, Indonesia and the Philippines have a bilateral relationship, namely military cooperation. Military cooperation aims to eradicate the crimes of the Abu Sayyaf Group and minimize transnational crimes in border waters. This collaboration is also supported by Malaysia, which is both a victim of the acts of the Abu Sayyaf group. The research method used by the author is a qualitative method and the theory used is the theory of Confidence Building Measures (CBMs) from Simon JA Mason and Matthias Siegfried. Based on the theory used in the results of this study, it shows that the Indonesian and Philippine Military Cooperation (Philindo MC) along with several dimensions and indicators have not been maximized in eradicating terrorism. Thus, Malaysia also contributes to military cooperation that aims to maintain the security of border waters, namely the INDOMALPHI Joint Working Group on Trilateral Cooperative Arrangement (JWG on TCA) cooperation can solve security problems, namely eradicating terrorism, especially the Abu Sayyaf Group. Keywords: Cooperation, Military, Terrorism
