PENGARUH STATUS SOSIAL EKONOMI TERHADAP PRESTASI AKADEMIK MAHASISWA PROGRAM STUDI PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI ANGKATAN 2020 FAKULTAS KEGURUAN DAN ILMU PENDIDIKAN UNIVERSITAS SRIWIJAYA
This study aims to prove the effect of socioeconomic status on the academic achievement of students of the Economics Education study program class of 2020, the Teaching and Education Faculty, Sriwijaya University. This study uses a quantitative approach, with associative research. The population of this study is students of the 2020 Batch of Economics Education at Sriwijaya University, totaling 72 students. Data collection techniques used in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Test the validity of the instrument using the Pearson Product Moment formula, and test the reliability using the Alpha Cronbach formula. Sampling used the Nonprobability Sampling technique with a saturated sample that used the entire population of 72 students. The results of the study showed that the socio-economic status obtained was categorized as sufficient with an average percentage of 66% and academic achievement showed an average of 3.84 with the cum laude category. Data analysis using the t-test shows that t_count=48,346≥t_table=1,669, so Ha is accepted, and Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an influence of socioeconomic status on academic achievement of students of the Economics Education study program class of 2020, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Sriwijaya University. Based on this research it is expected that students can maintain academic achievement, and also improve it in learning, so that the achievements obtained can be increased by being more active, and studying diligently so that the academic achievement obtained is maximized.
