The title of this research is "The Role of Harun Sohar in the Physical Revolution Period in Lahat 1945-1948". The period of physical revolution occurred around the period 1945- 1949, this period was marked by the colonialists who were not fully willing to let go of Indonesia. Even though the proclamation has resounded and spread to various regions, the invaders still want to control Indonesia again. One of them is Lahat, which was an important area during the physical revolution. The Lahat area has fighters who defend and maintain independence. One of them, Harun Sohar, was a prominent freedom fighter from Lahat. The spirit of defending independence made Harun Sohar continue to fight against the invaders. Harun Sohar during the physical revolution in Lahat was assigned to lead troops, his ability in diplomacy also supported Harun Sohar's work at that time. As for this study, the problem being discussed by the researcher is how the role of Harun Sohar during the early days of independence in Lahat and the role of Harun Sohar during the Dutch military aggression I and II in the Lahat area. For the writing method the researcher uses the historical method with steps including Heuristics, Source Criticism, Interpretation, and Histiography as well as several other supporting approaches. The results of the overall research include the role of Harun Sohar in the early days of independence, with the appointment of Harun Sohar as BPKR leader in Lahat and Harun Sohar being the pioneer in the struggle for arms to seize Japanese weapons and the role of Harun Sohar in the five days and nights of fighting trying to provide troop assistance. Furthermore, the role of Harun Sohar during the Dutch aggression I and II in Lahat, Harun Sohar was appointed as the leader of the defense front in various places in Lahat. Finally, Harun Sohar also played a role in issuing local money to help the economic situation during the physical revolution. Keywords : Physical Revolution, Lahat, Harun Sohar.
