PROTOTYPE AUTOMATED GUIDED VEHICLE (AGV) DENGAN NAVIGASI ARAH BERBASIS GPS DAN KOMPAS
AGV is a directed vehicle that can operate automatically without the need for human assistance. However, several studies to date have still experienced errors in various ways, resulting in less effective and perfect results. Therefore, this research provides a proposal in the form of using a compass and GPS on an AGV for directional navigation. In this research, GPS functions as a determinant of the location of the starting point and waypoint of the AGV, while the compass functions as a determinant of the direction of the AGV target moving from the starting point to the waypoint. There are 3 waypoints in this research. Then the data taken in this research is AGV movement data from the starting point to waypoint 1, waypoint 1 to waypoint 2, and waypoint 2 to waypoint 3. The formula used to calculate the AGV distance from the starting point to the waypoint is a haversine equation. In the experimental results, the AGV was able to reach the waypoint with a distance difference of 1.2 meters at waypoint 1, 1.8 meters at waypoint 2, and 2.8 meters at waypoint 3. When taking the AGV coordinates, there is a difference between the point that is read in real-time and the point that it should be. Differences in coordinates on an AGV can be caused by GPS having difficulty receiving satellite signals clearly when indoors because GPS signals can be blocked by walls, roofs or other objects. This causes the position of the AGV to arrive at the waypoint which cannot be said to be completely accurate.
