OPTIMALISASI WAKTU RESPON RELAI JARAK DENGAN GOOSE MESSAGE IEC 61850.
Electrical power transmission networks are always equipped with distance relays as a protection system to avoid various disturbances. Distance relay works by dividing its handling area into three zones. For areas outside the zone one, distance relay works with a time delay.The existence of a delay causes disturbance handlers to be longer. Therefore, in this research the author carried out tests to analyze the comparison of the working time of the distance relay with GOOSE Message IEC 61850 teleprotection when there is a single-phase fault, multi-phase fault and three-phase fault in zone two compared to the working time of the distance relay with TP with the same faults situation. Based on the test results, distance relay GOOSE Message works in the time range of 8-13ms to exchange disturbance information and works in the time range of 41-45ms to free the system from disturbance. Meanwhile, the distance relay with TP works in the timme range of 12-25ms to exchange disturbance information and it works in the time range 49-59ms to free the system from disturbance. From these results, the working time of the distance relay with GOOSE Message is faster than the distance relay with TP.
