KARAKTERISASI MEMBRAN POLYVINYLIDENE FLUORIDE DENGAN PENAMBAHAN TIMAH DIOXIDE TERHADAP PENGUJIAN TARIK, STRUKTUR MIKRO, DAN KINERJA PENGOLAHAN AIR.
A membrane is a thin layer that functions as a selective barrier between two phases, allowing certain phases/components to penetrate more quickly than other phases/components. The current that enters the membrane is the charging current, the phase that passes through the membrane is called permeable while the phase that does not enter the membrane is called retention. In this study, filter membrane fabrication used Polyvinylidene fluoride polymer material in granular form and used a mixed solvent of N,N-Dimethylformamide and added Timah Dioxide as an additive. In making films using three variations of the mixture, namely 15%, 17.5%, 20% also using the Flat plate method which is made using sheet glass and insulators as film prints to print the film. The production process involves magnetic stirring for approximately 8 hours at 40°C regardless of rotational speed until the mixture becomes homogeneous. Tests carried out included tensile testing using an Adhesion Tear Strength Tester to determine the mechanical properties of the film, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) microstructural testing to see the pore size of the film, then testing the water treatment performance using Clean Water Permeability (CWP).
