DISAIN GENERATOR MAGNET PERMANEN MENGGUNAKAN SOFTWARE FINITE ELEMENT METHOD MAGNETICS SEBAGAI PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK ALTERNATIF.
In generating electrical energy, the design of a generator greatly influences the output of electrical power produced. To make a generator, theoretical calculations and practice in the field must be balanced, because there are several factors that can influence the efficiency of the generator, such as the type of material used to make up the generator, the construction of the generator and the distribution of magnetic flux between the rotor and the stator. Therefore, this research was carried out to optimize a generator design using simulation in the application Finite Element Method Magnetics. In this design, theoretically the maximum flux density of the permanent magnet is 0.0005 Wb/m2 However, in the simulation, the average maximum magnetic flux density that induces the stator core is only 0.000315919167 Wb/m2. Which means the value is smaller than theory and of course this will affect the power output of the generator. Based on analysis of the data obtained, this occurs because the magnetic field distribution in this design is not optimal. Therefore, this needs to be done by increasing the number of windings on the stator, increasing the size of the magnet and reducing the air gap between the rotor and the stator with the aim of getting a better magnetic flux density.
