Japan is trying to introduce its culture to the people both internally and externally of Japan. Film is Japan's best choice to introduce its culture and increase understanding of Japanese culture for the world community. Through Japanese cultural films, they touch the world community to explore Japanese culture. The 2022 online Japanese Film Festival (JJF) is a program that aims to introduce Japanese culture. The purpose of this study is to analyze how cultural diplomacy is carried out by Japan towards Indonesia through the annual Japanese Film Festival Online agenda. This study uses the theory of cultural diplomacy from Milton C. Cummings in analyzing cultural diplomacy carried out by Japan through the Japanese Film Festival Online in 2022. There are three indicators from the theory of cultural diplomacy from Milton C. Cummings to analyze this research, namely updating public opinion, exchange cultural ideas, and new knowledge and sensitivity to other countries. The research method used in this study uses qualitative research methods. The data used is in the form of qualitative data as a source of research obtained through books, journals, articles and news. The results of this research are in carrying out cultural diplomacy, Japan through the Japanese Film Festival Online activities in 2022 is screening Japanese films, Marchendise Hunt, JFF Oshaberikai, seminars on tattoos, seminars on making backgrounds on animation.
