Education is the first pillar in management of diabetes mellitus. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) which could cause death people increased every year. Knowledge is an important means to help treat DM itselves and reduce complication due to uncontrolled diabetes. This study aimed to know the effect of diabetes self management education (DSME) through health calendar media on level of knowledge Diabetes Mellitus patients. The type of research is a quantitative research with a pre-experimental design using one group pretest-posttest design. This research was conducted at the East Prabumulih Health Center on 21 people with Diabetes Mellitus. The samples in this study used the total sampling technique. The use of healthy calendar media containing information about DSME was carried out during 1 month study period, March-April 2023. Based on the results of the paired t-test, the result showed that there were significant differences knowledge before and after being given the DSME through the media health calendar intervention with a p value of 0.000 (p value
