ANALISIS KEBUTUHAN ARMADA DAN BIAYA OPERASIONAL KENDARAAN (BOK) ANGKUTAN UMUM DI AREAL KAMPUS UNSRI INDRALAYA.
The University of Sriwijaya (UNSRI) in South Sumatra Province has two main campuses in Indralaya and Palembang. In the Indralaya campus, student mobility is notably high. The use of public transportation fleet is a crucial aspect in supporting student activities. However, issues related to fleet requirements and vehicle operational costs have arisen. UNSRI needs to plan for more optimal public transportation to facilitate students' access to the campus. This research aims to analyze fleet requirements and estimate the Vehicle Operational Costs (BOK) for public transportation within the Indralaya campus area. BOK refers to the total expenses required to operate vehicles, taking various factors into account. With accurate calculations, UNSRI can fulfill students' need for safe, fast, affordable, and convenient public transportation, in line with affordable vehicle operational costs. Optimal fleet requirements can be calculated using the Break Even Point (BEP) method, and Vehicle Operational Costs (BOK) using the DLLAJ method. The components to be calculated to determine vehicle operational costs using the DLLAJ method are direct costs and indirect costs. The analysis results indicate that the current angkot (public minivan) conditions have reached an adequate level with a load factor of 0.32. For the regular route, the optimal fleet size is found to be 154 units out of 180 units. Conversely, for the new route, the optimal fleet size is determined to be 185 units, exceeding the current 180-unit fleet size. The analysis of vehicle operational costs for the regular route is Rp. 223,000, while for the new route, it is Rp. 186,000.
