Selesai (2021) is a film by director Tompi that addresses the issue of toxic relationships that occur within the realm of households and is closely related to patriarchal ideologies. The method used in this research is a qualitative method with Roland Barthes' Semiotics theory. The use of this theory aims to understand interpretations of the aspects of Denotation, Connotation, and Myths regarding toxic relationships in the film Selesai. There are 7 scenes analyzed, showing signs of toxic relationships. The results of this research indicate the presence of toxic relationship elements depicted in 6 signs, namely partner control, emotional feelings, manipulation, violence, lack of honesty, and absence of support. The conclusion of this research is based on Semiotics analysis, it can be proven that there are elements of toxic relationships depicted in the film Selesai.
