PENGARUH KOMUNIKASI INTERPERSONAL ANAK REMAJA DAN IBU TERHADAP PEMBENTUKAN KONSEP DIRI REMAJA (STUDI PADA SISWA SISWI SMA NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG KELAS 10 TAHUN 2023)
The family is a group of people who live and grow together as the smallest unit of society and have blood relations, marital ties or other ties. In family life, the mother figure is a milestone in the life of a family whose role is always to give full attention and affection to her children, including attention and the formation of adolescent self-concept. The formation of self-concept in adolescents is certainly inseparable from interpersonal communication or which is interpersonal communication between adolescents and mothers. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of interpersonal communication of adolescents and mothers on the formation of adolescent self-concept in students of SMA Negeri 1 Palembang grade 10 and how much influence is given. This study used quantitative research methods by collecting data through the distribution of questionnaires to 36 respondents who were adolescent students at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang grade 10 with an age range of 15-16 years. The results of the research were obtained through descriptive analysis techniques and explanatory analysis. Variable X interpersonal communication is included in the very good category and variable Y self-concept is included in the very good category. The influence between variables is 32.3% which is included in the medium category and the rest based on other factors outside the variables studied. The regression equation obtained is Y = 13.840 + 0.831 X. The regression correlation X states that every 1% value in interpersonal communication, it will add value to the self-concept of 0.831. The regression coefficient is positive, so the direction of influence of variable X on Y is positive. Keywords: interpersonal communication, adolescent child, mother, self-concept.
