PENGEMBANGAN KERAMIK HIDROKSIAPATIT TERDOPING TEMBAGA 3; 3,5 ;4 MOL PADA SINTERING 1200°C.
Hydroxyapatite is one of the inorganic compounds that make up the hard tissue of the human body such as bones, teeth, dentine and so on. In this study, bovine bone was chosen as the basic material for the synthesis of Hydroxyapatite because it has similarities and good properties with bone as well as the abundant availability of bovine bone and Copper was chosen as a doping because of its pro-angiononic potential, thereby contributing to bone formation and antimicrobial activity and is expected to be able to improve its biological and mechanical properties. In the synthesis of CuO doped HA ceramics, it was carried out by calcination for 2 hours at 800°C and a solid state sintering process at a constant temperature of 1200°C with a heating rate of 5°C/minute and a holding time of 30 minutes. The shrinkage calculation shows that the sample shrinkage is 50.9% to 55.6% according to the high sintering temperature and the number of CuO moles. In the density test, it shows that the porosity value is 52.9% to 54.5% according to the sintering temperature and the mol composition of CuO. And in the XRD test, shifted peak values and increased intensity due to high heating causes crystal growth to increase grain size.
