Violence against women and children continues to this day. Women are vulnerable to becoming victims of violence, especially in the family sphere. This study aims to explain the mechanism related to the process and stages of assistance by UPTD PPA Palembang city for women victims of family violence. The method in this study used a descriptive qualitative approach, data obtained through in-depth interviews, field observations, and document studies. The analysis refers to the concept of Gitosaputro, Sumaryo and Rangga (2015: 75) regarding Assistance to provide assistance to the community to learn, solve problems, organize themselves or develop themselves in helping carry out their action activities. Based on the results of field research, the assistance carried out by the UPTD PPA Palembang city for victims of violence has a process and stages based on MACRO SOP including, Receiving complaints, verifying complaints, making referrals, conducting outreach, conferences on case management (shelter, mediation, assistance, referrals), case conference, and case termination. As well as the UPTD PPA Palembang city has 5 forms of assistance such as direct and indirect complaints, psychological asssistance, victim outreach, mediation assistence, legal process assistence.
