KARAKTERISASI SIFAT TERMOFISIK DAN STABILITAS FLUIDA NANO Al2O3-MWCNT/AQUADES PADA FRAKSI VOLUME 0,2%, 0,4%, 0,6%.
Nanofluids are suspensions of nanoparticles with at least one dimension less than 100 nm. Al2O3-MWCNT/Aquades hybrid nanofluids with volume fractions of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6% have been successfully prepared. The preparation of nanofluid begins with the mixing process between the basic fluid of distilled water and hybrid nanoparticles Al2O3 + MWCNT and then the nanofluid is stirred using a magnetic stirrer. Then vibration is carried out with an ultrasonic system as an agglomerator. Then an evaluation of the stability of the nanofluid was carried out using the sedimentation and centrifugation methods. Then testing the density using a pycnometer and viscosity using a falling ball viscometer. Nanofluid Sample 5 has the highest viscosity value compared to other samples. A2, B2, C3, D3 are the optimal level settings of the nanofluid viscosity. A3, B1, C3, D2 are the optimal level settings for nanofluid density. Then the results of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) observations showed that the shape of the particles had a solid, smooth, and irregular structure, and obtained the number of available particle sizes between 2 micrometers to 79 micrometers.
