This study aims to find out how the communication strategy of the Bukit Jaya Village library encourages reading interest in Sungai Lilin District, Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra Province. The research method used is a qualitative method. This study uses the theory of Cangara's communication strategy (2022), which consists of five stages namely Research, Formulation of strategy or planning, implementation of strategy or implementation, evaluation, reporting. Based on the results of the study revealed that the communication strategy to encourage public interest in reading at the Bukit Jaya Village Library by making the library not only a place to read books but a place to provide more learning and knowledge for all members of the community, communicators, communication strategy planning that was implemented was by following Bimtek training , channels or media that are used to socialize and introduce to the community, namely Facebook, Instagram, and print media, the target of communication is to introduce them 2 to the wider community and the general public. Implementation of activities or various kinds of programs to foster literacy in the community, for routine evaluation every three months, reporting is done at the end of the month or after carrying out activities.
