PENERAPAN TINDAKAN SUCTION DALAM ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PASIEN POST CRANIOTOMY EC SPACE OCCUPYING LESION (SOL) DENGAN MASALAH KEPERAWATAN BERSIHAN JALAN NAFAS TIDAK EFEKTIF
Introduction: Patients who have undergone a craniotomy will experience a loss of consciousness, necessitating the use of a ventilator and an endotracheal tube (ETT) for breathing assistance. Patients also lack an effective cough reflex, leading to a buildup of secretions and inefficient airway clearing. Airway blockage and respiratory collapse may happen if the secret is not revealed. The use of suction is one non-pharmacological strategy that can be used to combat this. Objective: Describe the use of suction action on patient airway clearance following a craniotomy. Method: Three post-craniotomy ec SOL patients were studied using a descriptive case study method. They were treated with suction intervention every day for three days in the GICU room of Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Hospital Palembang. Results: The patient's airway clearance rose noticeably by higher oxygen saturation after three days of suction, and the patient also started to cough reflexively. Conclusion: Suction therapy for post-craniotomy ec patients Suction can open the airway and raise oxygen saturation in all
