PENGARUH KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS PESERTA DIDIK PADA MATA PELAJARAN EKONOMI KELAS XI IPS DI SMA NEGERI 1 PALEMBANG
This study aims to prove the effect of independent learning on students critical thinking skills in economics class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. This research is a quantitative research with correlational descriptive research. The population in this study were all class XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. The research sample for class XI IPS 2 was 19 students. The sampling technique used is the Cluster Random Sampling technique. Data collection techniques used in the form of questionnaires and tests. Test the validity of the instrument using the Pearson Product moment formula and Reliability using the Alpha Cronbach formula. The results of the study show that the learning independence data obtained is categorized as quite independent with an average percentage of 69% and the ability to think critically shows an average of 79% which is categorized as critical. Data analysis using the t-test shows that tcount = 4,011 > ttable = 1,740 then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Determinant Coefficient Test of the effect of variable X (learning independence) on variable Y (critical thinking ability) is 48,63% while 51,37% is influenced by other variables. So it can be concluded that there is an influence of independent learning on students' critical thinking skills in economics class XI IPS at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Based on this research, it is hoped that students will improve their learning independence even better so that their critical thinking skills improve even better.
