PERENCANAAN GEOMETRI LERENG TAMBANG BATUAN ANDESIT LAPUK DI BUKIT ASAM, PT. BUKIT ASAM (PERSERO) TBK., TANJUNG ENIM, SUMATERA SELATAN.
Bukit Asam is a new location that will be worked on by PT Bukit Asam, Tbk. The type of rock on the surface is andesite rock that has undergone weathering. For these new mining activities, it is necessary to plan the geometry of the slope in advance. A good and optimal slope geometry design is very influential for mining activities to be carried out. A stable slope will facilitate the mining process and the safety of workers. While unstable slopes can interfere with the mining process and worker safety and can interfere with production activities. This slope geometry simulation was carried out at a height range of 6 m, 10 m, and 15 m, a width of 5 m, and varying slope angles. It is known that the material in this acidic hill area is weathered andesite rock. Where the andesite rock is exposed to direct contact with the sun and water, causing the strength of the rock to decrease. Safety factor analysis for single slopes and overall slopes yields variable safety factor values with all results in safe or stable circumstances (Kepmen ESDM 1827 K/30/MEM/2018). Design recommendations related to slope geometry planning on a single slope, namely at a height of 15 m and a slope angle of 85⁰ with a FK value of 1.612 (stable). Design recommendations related to slope geometry planning on the overall slope with a depth of 50 m obtained FK of 2,297 (stable), at a depth of 100 m a FK of 2,418 (stable), and at a depth of 150 m a FK of 2,444 (stable) was obtained. The high value of cohesion in the weathered andesite rock material makes FK vulnerable to be more stable. This will affect the results on the value of the safety factor.
