CITY BRANDING DALAM PENGEMBANGAN PARIWISATA GUNA MENINGKATKAN DAYA SAING KABUPATEN MUSI BANYUASIN
This research entitled "City Branding in Tourism Development to Increase the Competitiveness of Musi Banyuasin Regency" aims to find out how city branding strategies are applied in Musi Banyuasin Regency in an effort to increase district competitiveness through tourism development carried out by the Musi Banyuasin Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office. This study used qualitative descriptive research methods with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The researcher found that the promotion strategy carried out by the Musi Banyuasin Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office was based on an analysis using the general strategy of Kotler's theory (2015), namely Image Marketing, Attraction Marketing, Infrastructure Marketing, and People Marketing, indicating that the city branding strategy carried out by The Musi Banyuasin Regency Youth, Sports and Tourism Office through the Muba sport tourism program and Jelajah Muba branding has successfully held various events so as to increase the number of tourists and the competitiveness of Musi Banyuasin Regency through the tourism sector at national offices.
