The Environmental Service of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency has problems in archive management including archive storage and structuring, not yet having archive officers, and lack of facilities and infrastructure. This research aims to analyze how active archives are managed at the Environmental Service of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. This research uses Read and Ginn's (2010) archive life cycle theory. The method used is qualitative with data collection techniques of interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings of this study indicate that the management of active archives at the Environmental Service of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency in the management aspect is quite good. However, what is lacking in active archive management is the aspect of creation, use, maintenance, final fate determination. Therefore, active archive management is not yet easy to find, maintain and protect. This research recommends that the Environmental Service of East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency add facilities and infrastructure, provide training to archive management employees, and implement electronic archive management.
