PENGARUH PERUBAHAN MORFOMETRI SUNGAI TERHADAP PERMUKIMAN BERBASIS SISTEM INFORMASI GEOGRAFIS PADA SUB DAERAH ALIRAN SUNGAI BATANG OMBILIN DAERAH KOTO TUJUH, DAN SEKITARNYA, KABUPATEN SIJUNJUNG, SUMATERA BARAT.
Various factors such as geological phenomena including erosion and sedimentation, climate change, and human activities, have the potential to cause changes in river flow patterns. These transformations generally can be observed by the changes appearance of the river flow. Therefore, changes in river morphometric dimensions can be impacted characteristics of river flow patterns, especially in rivers that have meander patterns. Based on this, this study aims to analyze and identify meandering features of the Batang Ombilin River sub-region located around Koto Tujuh, and its surroundings, and the impact of these changes on settlements along the river. Morphometric changes were measured by comparing differences in river flow configuration between 1996 and 2020. Analysis of morphometric changes was conducted by using remote sensing data, specifically Landsat data. The morphometric parameters used include river width (W), river flow length (S), bend neck length (L), axis length (A), radius of curvature (R), and sinuosity (C). In addition, an analysis of meander morphometric characteristics was also carried out consisting of analysis of drainage density, stream frequency, drainage texture, drainage intensity, infiltration number, length of overland flow and bifurcation ratio. From the results of this analysis, it is known that the research location, namely around the Batang Ombilin Sub-watershed, has a high risk of erosion and flood formation so that it will greatly affect the settlements around the Batang Ombilin Sub-watershed river.
