EVALUASI KOORDINASI PROTEKSI RELE ARUS LEBIH DAN GANGGUAN TANAH PADA TRANSFORMATOR 70 KV GARDU INDUK SUNGAI KEDUKAN PENYULANG ARWANA
In the era of Industry 4.0, electricity demand is crucial in supporting daily life activities. Therefore, the distribution of electrical power to consumers must be reliable and of high quality, especially in terms of handling disturbances. Electrical distribution is not immune to disturbances, particularly short-circuit faults. Thus, coordination of protection relays is necessary to localize faults and protect main equipment in the distribution system. At Sungai Kedukan Substation, protection relays such as Overcurrent Relays are installed to anticipate two-phase short-circuit faults, and Ground Fault Relays are used to anticipate single-phase ground faults. The research began with data collection through field observations at the Sungai Kedukan Substation. Based on calculations, it was found that the two-phase short-circuit current and the single-phase ground fault current at the transformer were 3165,3242 A and 260.6737 A, respectively. At the Arwana feeder, the two-phase short-circuit current and the single-phase ground fault current were 260.6737 A and 260.6737 A, respectively. The setting value of the Overcurrent Relay Time Multiplier Setting (TMS) for the 70 kV side of the transformer was 0.3, and for the 20 kV side was 0.2. The setting value of the Overcurrent Relay TMS at the Arwana feeder was 0.02. The setting value of the Ground Fault Relay TMS for the 70 kV side of the transformer was 0.40, and for the 20 kV side was 0.23. The setting value of the Ground Fault Relay TMS at the Arwana feeder was 0.1.
