KARAKTERISASI SIFAT TERMOFISIK DAN STABILITAS NANOFLUIDA TIO2-MWCNT/AQUADES PADA FRAKSI VOLUME 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%.
The radiator is an important component in the automotive industry that functions as a heat exchanger. The way radiators work involves the use of liquids as a heat exchange medium, especially liquids with high thermophysical characteristics such as nanofluids. This study aims to determine the stability and thermophysical properties of TiO2-MWCNT / Aquades nanofluids and the factors that influence them. TiO2-MWCNT / Aquades nanofluids test is influenced by 4 factors and 3 factor levels, namely volume fraction (0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%), nanoparticle ratio (70%:30%, 50%:50%, 30%:70%), stirring time (30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes), sonication time (60 minutes, 90 minutes, 120 minutes). This study used the Taguchi method to observe the stability and thermophysical properties of nanofluids. The results of stability research show that Sample 4 has better stability than other samples. Then thermophysical properties test in the form of density and viscosity were carried out, the optimal value of denistas was found in the factors and levels of factors A3, B1, C3, D1, while viscosity values A2, B1, C2, D2. Furthermore, analysis is carried out using Analysis Number of Variance (ANOVA) so as to obtain which factors are significant and unsignificant affect the results of thermophysical property test. The results were also analyzed using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) which showed that TiO2 particles have aggregate form, while MWCNT particles are tubular and the distribution of particles is dominated at a diameter of 313 nm – 1829 nm
