PEMBERIAN INTERVENSI THERMOTHERAPY PADA PASIEN INFARK MIOKARD AKUT (IMA) DENGAN MASALAH KEPERAWATAN NYERI AKUT
Background: Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) or better known as a heart attack is a condition where blood flow to the heart is blocked and cardiomyocytes die. The main symptom of Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) patients is chest pain. If the pain is ignored, the severity of the pain will increase until the pain becomes unbearable. One of the non-pharmacological therapies applied to reduce chest pain in Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) patients is heat therapy (thermotherapy). Thermotherapy is the application of heat to the body to reduce symptoms of acute pain and chronic pain. Aim: To provide nursing care to Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) patients with warm compress intervention (Thermotherapy) using a hotpack. Method: The method used was a qualitative method with a case study approach to 3 Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) patients. Results: There were three nursing problems that emerged in the three patients, namely acute pain, activity intolerance and the risk of decreased cardiac output. The three patients have received nursing care for three days with management namely pain management, energy management and heart care. Discussion: Giving thermotherapy using a hotpack causes blood vessels to widen, thereby increasing blood flow, speeding up blood flow, relaxing the body's muscles, and can reduce the level of chest pain felt by the patient. Conclusion: Warm compress intervention (Thermotherapy) using a hotpack carried out for 3 days provides comfort and reduces chest pain in Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI) patients
