PT Prima Indo Jaya Mandiri (PIM) is a company engaged in the mining business sector, the IUP area of PT Prima Jaya Indo Mandiri is 2009 hectares located in Arahan Village, East Merapi District, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra Province. The mining method used by PT Prima Indo Jaya Mandiri is an open-pit mining system (surface mining) and if this is used in coal deposits by removing the overburden layer until the coal seam is exposed. In September 2021, PT Prima Indo Jaya Mandiri plans to strip 93,000 bcm/month of overburden, while the situation on the ground is only 82,331 bcm/month. The factor that causes the stripping plan not to be achieved is heavy equipment that does not operate properly in overburden stripping conditions that have claystone and sandstone materials. Therefore, a report in the form of Overburden Stripping Production Evaluation has been prepared to achieve the overburden stripping plan at PT Prima Indo Jaya Mandiri, so that it can be used for consideration of the future overburden stripping plan.
