PENERAPAN TERAPI MINDFULNESS BREATHING PADA PASIEN DENGAN MASALAH RISIKO PERILAKU KEKERASAN DI RUMAH SAKIT ERNALDI BAHAR PALEMBANG
Background : Mental disorders (mental disorders) are psychological patterns or behavior of a person which is generally associated with stress or mental disorders that are not considered as normal human development. In Indonesia, the cause of illness or disability is mostly in cases of mental disorders. One of the clinical features of clients with schizophrenia is violent behavior. The problem of violent behavior is a negative symptom that arises from schizophrenia. Acts of violent behavior must be prevented so as not to cause a detrimental impact on oneself, others and the environment. One form of intervention in patients at risk of violent behavior is providing mindfulness breathing therapy. Purpose : The purpose of writing this scientific paper is to apply mental nursing care to patients at risk of violent behavior with mindfulness breathing therapy at Ernaldi Bahar Hospital, Palembang. Method : Application of nursing care using a case study and journal approach by providing nursing care to three patients with the same diagnosis of risk of violent behavior. Results : The three managed patients had a primary diagnosis of risk of violent behavior and were given mindfulness breathing therapy intervention for 3 days and were given generalist SP therapy. The results of the evaluation showed that the patient looked more comfortable, calm, focused and able to control his emotions after doing mindfulness breathing therapy. Discussion : The changes in signs and symptoms of the risk violent behavior that occur because the patient’s body is simulated to release endogenous opioids, namely endorphins and enkaphalins which helm promote feelings of relaxation, helps control emotions, gives a pleasant feeling, and helps balance brain neurotransmitters so that mindfulness breathing therapy can be considered as a therapy for patients at risk of violent behavior. Conclusion : Mindfulness breathing therapy can have a good effect on patients at risk of violent behavior
