The communication pattern that occurs in broken home families generally cannot be done properly, it is due to problems and disputes that are in the family. This study aims to determine family communication patterns in broken home families. Data from this research was obtained through several methods, namely in-depth interviews, observations, and literature studies with qualitative research methods. In this study, researchers used family communication patterns theory which has 2 (two) theoretical dimensions, namely conversation orientation and conformity orientation. The results of this study showed that the communication patterns of the three broken home families that were the subject of this study were divided into two communication patterns, namely the first family and the third family had a pluralistic communication pattern and the second family had a laissez-faire communication pattern. Researchers found that in both families in the study, there were no significant changes in communication patterns that existed both before and after divorce.
