VARIASI INTERSPESIES IKAN SELUANG Rasbora argyotaenia dan Rasbora lateristriata ASAL SUNGAI KELEKAR, SERTA SUMBANGANNYA PADA PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI
Research on the morphology and morphology of two species of seluang fish (Rasbora argyotaenia and Rasbora lateristriata) originating from the Kelekar River, South Sumatra. The samples were Rasbora argyotaenia seluang fish (122 individuals) and Rasbora lateristriata (55 individuals) using incidental sampling technique from the results of arrests at fishing centers. The biological characters measured were 13 characters. Data analysis used the common principle component (CPC) to determine the natural growth and slope values of the two species and then the data were also analyzed descriptively. The results showed that the morphometric characters of Rasbora argyotaenia and Rasbora lateristriata generally have negative allometry (slope < 0.3) which indicates a variation in growth with respect to weight. Characters with negative allometry were standard length, total length, dorsal-fin base length, anal-fin base length, head length, head height, anterior dorsal and anal fin length, and maxilla and mandible length. The growth of the morphometric characters of Rasbora argyotaenia with positive allometry (slope > 3) are body height and thickness while Rasbora lateristriata with positive allometric (slope = 3) are standard length, total length, body height, stem height and tail stem height. The caudal height of Rasbora argyotaenia is an isometric morphometric character. Based on the size of the morphometric characters, Rasbora argyotaenia has a longer size than Rasbora lateristriata. The information in this research is expected to be an alternative contextual example of learning biology for Class X on Basic Competency 3.2
