The research was aimed to evaluated the effect of gambier compost on the growth of oil palm seedlings in the Pre Nursery. This research was conducted in the Greenhouse of Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University, Indralaya District, Ogan Ilir Regency, South Sumatera Province. The research was conducted from June to September 2023. The research used a Randomized Block Design with 4 treatments and 3 replications with 9 plants per unit. The treatment of gambier compost namely, P0 = without gambier compost, P1 = 50 grams/seedling, P2 = 100 grams/seedling, P3 = 150 grams/seedling. The data analysis used analysis of variance (ANOVA), and then continued with the Least Significance Difference (LSD) test at the 5% level. The results showed that gambier compost treatment gave significant effect on seedling height, stem diameter, leaf area, number of leaves, leaf greenness and leaf thickness except on soil pH and root volume. The conclusion of this research is that the provision of gambier compost fewer than 100 grams / seedling is the optimum dose, dose that exceed 100 grams / seedling can inhibit the growth of oil palm seedlings in the Pre Nursery.
