PENGOBATAN Motile Aeromonas Septicemia PADA IKAN LELE MUTIARA (Clarias gariepinus) DENGAN EKSTRAK DAUN KERSEN (Muntingia calabura)
Catfish (Clarias gariepinus) is a type of freshwater fish superior in increasing fish production and consumption of fishery commodities. The obstacle in carrying out fish cultivation is the presence of diseases in fish, such as Motile Aeromonas Septicemia (MAS), caused by the bacterium Aeromonas hydrophila. The experiment used a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of controls and three treatments in the form of different concentrations of cherry leaf extract with three replications, namely P1 (50 mg L-1 ), P2 (60 mg L-1 ), P3 (70 mg L -1 ). Fish infected with Aeromonas hydrophila bacteria and soaked in oxytetracycline were used as a positive control. The results of this study showed that the best treatment was P2 with concentration of 60 mg L -1 which was able to treat catfish infected with Aeromonas hydrophila and produce the highest average survival value 76.66%, a recovery percentage of 100%, absolute weight growth 3.75 g, length absolute 3.69 cm and total erytrocytes, total leukocytes, hemoglobin levels, hematocrit levels, and water quality are still within the normal range.
