UJI KINERJA HAND TRACTOR TIPE CAPUNG RODA KARET DENGAN VARIASI KADAR AIR TANAH DAN BEBAN PEMBERAT TERHADAP SLIP RODA PADA PEMBAJAKAN DI LAHAN KERING
This research aims to determine and study the performance test of rubber wheel dragonfly type hand tractor with variations in soil moisture content and ballast load againt wheel slip on plowing at dry land. This research was carried out from 2 May 2023 to 15 June 2023 at the Practicum and Research Garden of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, Sriwijaya University. The method used in this study was a fatorial randomized block design method. The treatment for this research is soil water content and ballast load. The parameters considered in this study include the main parameters and supporting parameters. The main parameters of wheel slip while the supporting parameters consist of fuel requirements, bulk density, wheel rotation speed, track travel time, wheel load, width of soil turning, and soil turning proportion. The results of this study found that the performance test of the hand tractor showed that the highest wheel slip value was in the treatment of soil water content of 22.66% with no ballast load which was 85.53%, and the smallest in the treatment of soil water content of 16.13% with a ballast load of 150 kg that is 19.33%. High soil water content causes high wheel slip and vice versa, while a tractor with added ballast reduces wheel slip.
