PENGEMBANGAN ALAT PERMAINAN EDUKATIF BERBASIS TEORI MONTESSORIE UNTUK MENGENALKAN BILANGAN PADA ANAK USIA (3-4) TAHUN DI PALEMBANG
This study aims to develop educational game tools based on Montessori theory to introduce numbers to children aged (3-4) years in the city of Palembang which are tested validly and practically. This development uses the Rowntree development model with a modification of the Tessmer Formative evaluation model. The Rowntree development stage consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the development stage, and the evaluation stage which consists of the self evaluation, expert review, one to one evaluation, and small group evaluation stages. Techniques of analysis and data collection using walkthrough and observation. The results of the expert review show that 84% of the material validity is obtained from content validity and construct validity, content validity refers to the suitability of the media with the curriculum and construct validity refers to the appearance of educational game tools according to the characteristics of children aged (3-4) years. The validity of the media gets a percentage of 95% consisting of educative, presentation, aesthetic/beauty, and meaningful aspects. From the results of the validity of the material and media obtained an average percentage of 89% in the very valid category. The one-to-one evaluation stage involved 3 children with 89% results and the small group evaluation stage involved 9 children with 90% results and from the two of them an average percentage of 89% was categorized as very practical. However, there are still 11% deficiencies related to the limitations of the educational game tools used at the time of observation. This research only reached the small group evaluation stage because it was only to see the validity and practicality of a product. From all the stages carried out, it can be concluded that the product in the form of a number carpet educational game tool to introduce numbers to children aged (3-4) years is stated to be very valid and practical, so that it can be applied in learning for children.
